Emily Channel-Justice
Director
Temerty Contemporary Ukraine Program, Harvard University
Emily Channell-Justice is the Director of the Temerty Contemporary Ukraine Program at the Ukrainian Research Institute, Harvard University. A sociocultural anthropologist, she first started learning the Ukrainian language and carrying out research in Ukraine in 2012. She pursued research on political activism and social movements among students and feminists during the 2013-2014 Euromaidan mobilizations. She is the author of an ethnography, Without the State: Self-Organization and Political Activism in Ukraine (University of Toronto; 2022), and an edited volume, Decolonizing Queer Experience: LGBT+ Narratives from Eastern Europe and Eurasia (Lexington Books; 2020). She has published academic articles in several journals, including History and Anthropology, Revolutionary Russia, and Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society.
Susana Torres
Professor Torres Prieto has developed her academic career as a teacher and researcher in the areas of Medieval and Slavic Studies. She is a specialist in Russian literature and culture from the Middle Ages to the present day. She has been a professor at different Spanish and foreign universities and, after being a member of several international research teams and directing her own, she is currently an Associate Researcher at Harvard University as Scientific Director of a Digital Humanities project on Rus ' mediaeval.
Óscar Martínez
IE Professor
Dr. Martínez-Tapia holds undergraduate studies and a PhD in Political Science at the Complutense University of Madrid. He also holds an MA in International Relations at the University of Manchester (UK) and has been a visiting scholar at the Peltason Center for the Study of Democracy at the University of California, Irvine, and at the Department of Government at Harvard University. Outside of academia, he worked as a communication advisor to the Vice President of the Government of Spain between 2005 and 2007 as speechwriter.
François Delerue
IE Professor
Dr. François Delerue is an Assistant Professor of Law and a member of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence for Law and Automation (Lawtomation) at IE University. He is also an Associate Fellow of The Hague Program on International Cyber Security and the GEODE Center (Paris 8 University). Additionally, he is a Co-chair of the Committee on Digital Challenges for International Law for the preparation of the 150th Anniversary Conference of the International Law Association. His book ‘Cyber Operations and International Law’ was published by Cambridge University Press in 2020 and was awarded the 2021 Book Prize of the European Society for International Law.
