Ellen Buckland is the founder of Contemporary Empathy; a company which seeks to make the business world more human centred through training professionals in the areas of Emotional Agiltiy, Creativity, and Communication. Ellen is an experienced facilitator and designer, whose style integrates professional theatre and design thinking techniques; putting play, creativity, and interaction at the forefront of learning.
With her company, Ellen leads both training and coaching programmes with B2B and B2C clients. She believes that authentic communication provides the key to successful professional (and personal) relationships, and is currently researching the complexities, challenges, and opportunities of the future of work.
Ellen has a professional background in performance, education, and strategic design in the Arts and Education sectors. She is currently an assisting faculty member of IE HST teaching on the Bachelor of Communication and Digital Media, the IEU Challenge, and the Master in Customer Experience and Innovation. She also teaches on design and innovation courses at IED Madrid.
