Daniela Hervella

Adjunct Professor

IE Center for Health, Well-Being & Happiness

Fitness Consultant Daniela Hervella has been developing science-based fitness programs for corporations and individuals in the New York area for over 10 years. Her clients range from athletes looking to improve sports performance to individuals looking for a healthier lifestyle to clients looking for corrective training to prevent or recover from injuries.

Her training programs start by conducting comprehensive fitness assessments because she truly believes this will set the most effective course of action to achieve goals in a safe, consistent way.

Daniela has a passion to learn how our brain and body adapt to the demands placed upon them by physical exercise. Her training on positional isometrics provides her with the tools to identify individuals’ imbalances from a neuromuscular (kinetic chain) point of view and

the capacity to correct them by resetting the connection between working muscles and our brain (intramuscular coordination)

Originally from Mexico City, Daniela earned a BS in Computer Science. After moving to New York and raising her 3 children, she obtained her Certified Personal Trainer credentials from the National Academy of Sports Medicine along with other certifications such as Group Exercise Training Specialist, Brain Training, Positional Isometrics and Weight Loss Specialist. She is part of the team that developed and implemented the

Vitality Course at the newly formed Centre for Health, Well Being and Happiness at IE.

Daniela believes that every individual has the capacity to achieve goals that might appear unreachable as long as you are consistent, patient and passionate about it. The connection between mind, body and spirit is something she always take into consideration when designing a fitness program. Understanding this connection is crucial to optimize results and improve your well-being.
